Removing and installing front interior and reading light in vehicles with panoramic sunroof
The front interior and reading light contains the following components:
t  Front interior light -W1-
t  Front passenger reading light -W13-
t  Driver side reading light -W19-
t  Sliding sunroof adjustment regulator -EX4- → Chapter
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Removal wedge -VAS 3409-
  Note
When removing and installing components that are in view (switches, covers, trim and so on), mask off areas in which tools (removal wedge -VAS 3409-, screwdriver) are used to lever out those components using commercially available masking tape.
Removing:
–  Switch off ignition and all electrical loads, and pull out ignition key.

–  Carefully lever out the lens -1- of the front interior and reading light with the removal wedge -VAS 3409- applied to the catches -arrows-.

–  Release the locking lugs by pushing them in -direction of arrows- and remove front interior and reading light -1- from roof trim, taking connected wiring lengths into consideration.

–  Release and detach connectors -1- and -2- and then remove front interior and reading light.
Installing:
Installation is carried out in reverse order of removal.
