Note| t | The tank flap unit may be engaged in side panel with 1 or 2 locking hooks. |
| t | Accordingly, there are 1 or 2 markings on the tank flap unit. |
| t | In the illustrations the version with 1 locking hook is shown. |
| Carry out following work: |
| – | Screw off tank cover. |
| – | Insert a screwdriver -2- into the marked opening -3-. |
| – | Release locking hook -arrow b-. |
| – | Swing tank flap unit -1- out of side panel -arrow c-. |
| – | Guide water drainage hose -4- together with tank flap unit out of side panel. |

| Carry out following work: |
| – | Insert water drainage hose -3- through opening in tank flap unit -1- and then pull it through as far as it will go. |
| – | Push water drainage hose -3- into side panel. |
| – | Swing tank flap unit -1- into side panel and pull sleeve over filler neck. |
| – | Then insert tank flap unit into side panel completely. Make sure that locking hook -2- engages correctly in side panel. |
| l | Perform functional check of release components. |
