Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Removal wedge -VAS 3409-
  Note
When removing and installing components that are in view (switches, covers, trim and so on), mask off areas in which tools (removal wedge -VAS 3409-, screwdriver) are used to lever out those components using commercially available tape.
  Caution
When batteries are disconnected and reconnected, the procedure described in the workshop manual must be strictly observed → Chapter.
Removing:
–  Disconnect battery → Chapter.
–  Remove fuse box cover → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.68.

–  Remove footwell light → Chapter.
–  Remove securing bolts -arrows- (4 Nm) and guide out fuse holder -1- towards interior (as far as wiring allows).
Installing:
Installation is carried out in reverse order of removal.
