1 - From storage catalytic converter
2 - Seal
q   Renew.
q   Installing → Fig..
3 - Securing clamp, 7 Nm
q   Renew.

4 - Exhaust flap control unit -J883-
q   Note installation position.
q   Heat shield and routing of wiring for connector → Chapter.
5 - SCR catalytic converter
q   Checking exhaust system for leaks → Chapter
6 - Front silencer
7 - Clamp
q   Tighten bolted connections evenly. Specified torque and installation position → Chapter
q   Aligning exhaust system free of stress → Chapter.
8 - Threaded union
q   Tighten bolted connections evenly. Specified torque and installation position → Chapter

   
Installing seal between exhaust flap control unit -J883- and NOx storage catalytic converter/SCR catalytic converter.
–  Seat seal -2- with angular tab -B- in notch -A- of NOx storage catalytic converter or SCR catalytic converter -1-.
–  Install exhaust flap control unit-3- with retaining lug -C- in notch -A-.

Installation position of securing clamp between exhaust flap control unit -J883- and NOx storage catalytic converter/SCR catalytic converter.
–  Install new securing clamp so that the clamping bolt is positioned on the opposite side of the housing for exhaust flap control unit and points downwards at an angle of -45° ± 10°-.
